I can dig this, sounds very Ronald Jenkees-esque. If you don't know who that is I suggest looking him up.

OcularNebula responds:

I certainly know who he is!

Man that lead. I really enjoyed this one, good job. The kicks do need to go up and a bit more punch if possible. I'd take that open hat down in level a bit too, other than that, you have a masterpiece.

Geoplex responds:

I think you're right about the hats - I messed with them a lot, though. Any quieter and the mix felt like it lacked treble :/
I might actually juice the kick up and update the file if I get around to it, though.

Thanks for the feedback! :P

Melody was pretty good. Could have had more variation with higher end. I'd suggest adding a few more sounds with a different melody to extend the song a bit more. Was also not a fan of the snare. Other than that, it was some good work.

Aphyrmehrius responds:

Thanks ! nice review it will help a lot ! =)

This is pretty fucking good man. Think maybe a little more mixing to add depth, but other than that, this kicks ass. You gained yourself a new fan.

WilliamSSA responds:

wow Thanks!! really! (:

Go study dubstep. get better equipment/programs and samples and PRACTICE.

Ectohelix responds:

I wasn't sure when I made this if it classified as dubstep, house, progressive house, or something else. It's all experimental as I am practicing, but you're right in that dubstep seems more 'random'.

As far as getting better software/samples, I've got decent software (Ableton/NI), save for drums (in this song). I've since picked up a decent drum vst (in my other song), but learning to wheel them better.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best at mixing/mastering either. So, I could be squandering powerful software... Trust me when I say, I'm practicing my brains out. I do appreciate your feedback man! Thanks!

God, that snare, I want it. Really nice man!

TheBiocide responds:

Ahaha! Love it when people can appreciate a snare ;) Thanks, dude!

I thought the kick was overpowering. The "wobble" bass sounds exactly like a preset I have downloaded for massive. Also the claps were too loud and out of place. Keep working on it it has potential, especially with the lead. I liked the acid synth you used for it.

MrRandomist responds:

The wobble bass wasn't a preset; we'll keep working on it :)

Glad you like the acid.

You skipped a lot of parts. Pretty good otherwise.

EKublai responds:

I skipped the first verse since it's exactly the same as the second verse. I would have done it had I been singing, but otherwise it drags a bit in my opinion until you get to the second half.

\m/ Rock on.

DanJohansen responds:

Yeah! Rock on!

I produce music, please check it out!
